The Ray girls’ basketball team won its first game of the season last week, defeating Apache Junction in the first round of the Phoenix Christian Holiday Hoops Girls’ Basketball Tournament, 59 – 39. The Lady ‘Cats lost their next game of the tournament to the host team, Phoenix Christian, 60 – 24.
The Lady ‘Cats are now 1 – 2 on the season. They’ve allowed 63 points per game while scoring only 30 in their two losses. It’s almost the exact opposite in their lone win.
Upcoming schedule: Dec. 10 vs. Superior. The game at San Carlos begins at 5:30 p.m. The home game against Superior is scheduled for 7 p.m.
