Kellene Thornell, 59, passed away September 20, 2018 at 11:30 p.m. She was a bigger-than-life expressive individual to the end.
She was born in Albuquerque, NM on Dec. 28, 1958. She moved in with her Aunt Nancy Terry, postmistress of Oracle, when she was 10. Kellene attended high school in San Manuel and became a pom-pom girl and cheerleader. After graduating, she attended college at NAU in Flagstaff.
She is survived by her son, John Loren Schwarz, and daughter, Rachael Schwarz; sister, Korrine Thornell; and brothers Kent and Kurt Thornell.
Private family services are planned.
