Kearny Police Report – October 31, 2018

  According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

Oct. 21

  Tepreth A. Henry, 47, was arrested at milepost 144 on Hwy. 177 and charged with shoplifting and unlawful flight from a police officer. She was cited and released.

Oct. 26

  Officers received a report of someone using fraudulent checks.

Oct. 27

  Burglary was reported in the 400 block of Jamestown Rd.

Calls not listed include: ambulance request (6), traffic stop (5), citizen/motorist assist (5), agency assist (1), welfare check (4), suspicious activity (2), alarm drop (1), animal complaint (4) and disturbance (2).
