Kearny Police Report – May 18, 2016

  According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

May 9

  A neighbor dispute was reported on the 200 block of Jamestown Circle involving a possible break-in.

  A juvenile problem was reported at Ray Schools.

  Extra patrol was requested.

  False reporting was investigated on the 200 block of  Jamestown.

  Agency assist with a report of a vehicle on the side of the road on Hwy. 177.

May 10

  A welfare check was requested on the 500 block of Hartford.

  Citizen assist with a report of a elderly female walking on Upton.

May 11

  Citizen assist with a report of a water leak on Bristol.

  Disorderly conduct was reported at Ray Schools followed by a juvenile being referred to Pinal County.

  Citizen assist with a fingerprinting request.

  Criminal damage was reported on the 300 block of Alden Rd. A shed had been broken into.

  Citizen assist with a request for information concerning a family member.

  A wallet was found at Kearny Lake and turned into the police department.

  Burglary was reported on the 200 block of Hammond Dr.

May 12

  Dog at large was reported on the 400 block of Jamestown.

  Citizen assist with a report of possible banking activity.

  Suspicious activity was reported on the 400 block of Jamestown.

  Suspicious subjects were reported loitering in the area of Tilbury and Danbury.

May 13

  Elvis Scroggs, 38, was arrested in the vicinity of the 100 block of Hartford on a warrant. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

  Suspicious activity was reported at Ray High School.

  A civil matter was reported on the 300 block of Danbury.

  A brush fire was reported on Hwy 177.

  Dylan Calfee, 18, was arrested for disorderly conduct/minor consumption. He was booked into the Gila County Jail.

May 14

  Citizen assist with a request to unlock the bathrooms at Hubbard Park.

  Citizen assist with a request for the Constitutional Hall key.

  A vacation house watch was requested.

  A noise disturbance concerning loud music was reported on the 100 block of Jamestown.

May 15

  Citizen assist with transportation.

  A welfare check was requested on Highway 177 concerning a report of vehicles in the roadway.

  Noise disturbance was reported concerning possible gun shots fired in the area of the corrals.

  A welfare check was requested on the 100 block of Hartford.

  A welfare check was requested on the 400 block of Hartford.

  During the period of May 9 to May 15 there were 11 ambulance runs and one alarm drop report.
