Kearny Police Report – Aug. 30, 2017

  According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

Aug. 24

  Steven R. Garcia, 51, was arrested in the 400 block of Greenwich Rd. and was charged with assault. He was cited and released.

  Peter N. Kame, 45, was arrested in the area of the Palo Verde Apartments and was charged with assault. He was cited and released.

Aug. 25

  Criminal damage was reported in the 300 block of Hartford Rd.

  Calls not listed include: ambulance request (15), citizen assist (7), agency assist (5), animal/cattle complaint (4), suspicious activity (4), welfare check (4), traffic stop (10), utility problem (1), vacation house check (1), disturbance (2), request for extra patrol (1), abandoned vehicle (1), traffic hazard (1), trespassing (1) and alarm drop (1).
