Kearny Police Report

According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

July 20

Citizen assist with an alarm drop report. All was well.

Suspicious activity was reported on the 100 block of Victoria Circle.

Theft was reported on the 100 block of Victoria Circle. A dog collar was missing from a pet who was in the front yard of the residence.

A case of fraudulent schemes was investigated.

July 21

Agency assist to Hayden Police Department.

Citizen assist with information request concerning protection order.

Theft was reported at E-Z Laundroment. Items were taken by mistake and later located.

July 22

Suspicious activity was reported at Hubbard Park.

Theft was reported on the 100 block of Hartford. Missing was a scooter.

July 23

Agency assist to Hayden Police Department with a disorderly conduct call.

Criminal damage was reported on the 300 block of Fairhaven. A sliding glass door has been damaged.

Brenda Sue Wallace, 47 of Kearny, was arrested for disorderly conduct. She was cited and released.

July 24

A verbal warning was issued for a stop sign violation.

Agency assist to Pinal County Sheriff Office with an arrest at Breezeway Trailer Park.

Citizen assist with a fingerprinting request.

Suspicious activity was investigated when a passer-by reported a nude male sitting in the carport of a residence on the 400 block of Danbury. Subject was issued a verbal warning and was advised that if he didn’t comply, he would be arrested.

July 25

Citizen assist with a fingerprinting request.

Agency assist to Hayden Police Department with a stolen vehicle(s) report.

Citizen assist with information concerning a restraining order.

Suspicious activity was reported at the Kearny Library when a juvenile repeatedly entered the facility.

Report of a dogfight at Kearny Mobile Home Park.

Agency assist to Hayden Police Department with an arrest at Minit Market.

Citizen assist to Hayden Police Department with a language translation.

July 26

A written warning was issued for a stop sign violation.

Animal detail other than dog bite was attended to.

July 27

Theft of gas was reported on the 200 block of Victoria Circle.

Citizen assist with traffic control during a funeral procession.

Suspicious activity was investigated after a possible hit and run was reported in La Cantina parking area.

July 29

Citizen assist with a fingerprinting request.

Theft was reported on Industrial Rd.

Citizen assist with a civil problem.

Agency assist with an ambulance request on the 300 block of Greenwich.

July 30

Agency assist with an ambulance request.

An unwanted subject was reported at a residence on the 300 block of Greenwich.

Citizen assist with a fingerprinting request.

Agency assist to Kearny Fire Department with a structure fire (Buzzy’s) on the 100 block of Tilbury.

July 31

Harassment by an irate subject was reported at the Ray Federal Credit Union.

A non-injury accident was reported at the Hand Me Up parking area.

Agency assist to Superior Police Department with a scam report.

Other calls from July 20 included 16 information reports, three vacation house check requests and six 911 hang-up calls.
