Kearny Police Report

According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

May 24

A verbal warning was issued for reckless driving.

Criminal damage was reported on the 400 block of Greenwich. Graffiti had been painted on a block wall of a residence.

Agency assist to DPS with an identification inquiry.

Extra patrol was requested on the 300 block of Bristol.

A citation was issued for no drivers license in possession.

A verbal warning was issued for a license plate light violation.

May 25

Agency assist to Hayden Police Department.

May 26

Citizen assist with a locked vehicle.

Criminal damage was reported on the 400 block of Greenwich. A window of a vehicle had been broken.

Dogs at large were reported on the 400 block of Ivanhoe.

A skateboard was found and turned into the police department.

May 27

Agency assist to Hayden Police Department with a burglary investigation.

Dog at large was reported on the 400 block of Ivanhoe.

Burglary was reported in the Kearny Corrals area.

Citizen assist with a juvenile problem.

May 28

Identity theft was reported in Riverside. The case was turned over to the Pinal County Sheriffs Office.

Extra patrol was requested on the 400 block of Danbury.

Extra patrol was requested on the 100 block of Johnston.

Agency assist to Hayden Police Department with a court order.

May 29

A fire was reported near the Kearny Golf Course. Kearny Fire Department responded.

Civil standby was requested on the 200 block of Fairhaven.

A small bag of a suspicious substance was reported found at Cactus Video.

May 30

Harassment by phone was reported on the 300 block of Fairhaven.

Theft was reported on the 200 block of Hammond.

Extra patrol was requested on the 400 block of Greenwich.

A verbal warning was issued for illegal parking.

A verbal warning was issued for an improper license plate.

Other calls during the week included nine ambulance runs and five information reports.
