According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

May 17

A 911 hang-up was investigated on the 200 block of Fairhaven.

Citizen assist with harassing phone calls.

A verbal warning was issued for an illegal U-turn on Alden Rd.

May 18

Citizen assist with a medical equipment problem.

Suspicious activity was reported at West End Mall.

Suspicious activity was reported on the 100 block of Johnston.

May 19

Citizen assist with a parked vehicle blocking a driveway.

Citizen assist with a domestic problem.

Agency assist to Hayden Police Department with a report of a fight.

A written warning was issued for a license plate light violation.

May 20

Suspicious activity was reported in the parking lot in front of Town Hall.

Welfare check was requested on the 300 block of Essex.

May 21

A written warning was issued for a residential parking violation.

Two written warnings were issued for speed.

Suspicious activity was reported at Kearny Manor.

A citation was issued for exhibition of speed.

A citation was issued for exhibition of speed and no proof of registration.

May 23

Agency assist with a medical problem.

A verbal warning was issued for a stop sign violation.

Citizen assist on the 400 block of Jamestown.

A verbal warning was issued for noise disturbance.

A written warning was issued for a license plate light violation.

Criminal damage was reported on the 300 block of Greenwich.

Other calls during the week included 12 ambulance runs and four information reports.
