Kearny Police Report

According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

Feb. 8

An open door was discovered to a residence on the 300 block of Essex.

Two written warnings were issued for stop sign violations.

A residential alarm was investigated on the 400 block of Greenwich. All was well.

A citizen assist request on the 400 block of Greenwich.

Feb. 9

An open gate was discovered at the high school. All was secure.

An animal detail other than dog bite was attended to on the 100 block of Hartford.

A verbal warning was issued for a tail light violation.

Written warnings were issued for a license plate light violation, for speed and for a stop sign violation.

Feb. 10

An animal detail other than dog bite was attended to.

Verbal warnings were issued for a license plate light violation and speed.

Feb. 11

An open door was discovered at the laundry mat. Owner was contacted.

A welfare check was requested at Kearny Manor.

A bicycle was reported stolen from a residence on the 100 block of Griffen.

Two written warnings were issued for residential parking violations.

Feb. 12

An open gate was discovered at an unoccupied residence on the 500 block of Hartford.

An unoccupied vehicle was discovered in the LDS parking lot.

A domestic dispute was reported on the 100 block of Griffen.

Theft by credit card was reported.

Agency assist to Asarco security.

A light was discovered on at the Kearny Town Hall. All was secure.

A light was discovered on at the Ray District Maintenance office. All was secure.

Lights were discovered on in an unoccupied residence on the 500 block of Hartford.

Written warnings were issued for a skateboarding violation on Alden Rd., and for speed.

Citizen assist with a traffic citation question.

Complaint was received of loud music behind the teen center.

Feb. 14

A welfare check was requested on the 200 block of Fairhaven.

A verbal warning was issued for a tail light violation.

Bradley Dennis Hibner, 24 of Kearny, was arrested for criminal damage and disorderly conduct. He was cited and released.

Other calls included 11 ambulance runs and 11 information reports.
