Kearny Police Report

According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

Jan 3

Harassment by phone was reported.

Jan. 4

An animal detail other than dog bite was attended to on the 400 block of Ivanhoe.

Agency assist with a fire call in the area of Hwy 177 and Steamboat Rd.

Jan. 5

An animal detail other than dog bite was attended to on the 300 block of Danbury.

Agency assist to DPS with a welfare check on Hwy 177 near milepost 158.

Jan. 6

Motorist assist on Hwy 177 near milepost 145.

Suspicious activity was reported at the Kearny Golf Course. Tire marks were discovered in the turf on hole # 1.

Suspicious activity was investigated at Hubbard Park. A driver of a Chevy pick-up was reported to be driving recklessly and spinning the wheels. Tire marks matched to marks that were left at Kearny Golf Course.

A 911 hang-up was investigated on the 300 block of Hartford. A child was playing with the phone and all was well.

Jan. 7

Suspicious activity was investigated on the 100 block of Allen. The side doors of a utility truck were found open.

A 911 hang up call was investigated.

Agency assist with a fire call behind the Church of the Good Shepherd. All was well as the fire was contained in a fire pit area.

Theft was reported on the 200 block of Greenwich. A table and some chairs were removed from the back yard of a residence. The furniture was later located.

A verbal warning was issued for a stop sign violation.

A verbal warning was issued for a tail light violation.

Jan. 8

Suspicious activity was investigated at the teen center. A light was left on in the building. All was secure

Jan. 9

Suspicious activity was investigated on the 400 block of Essex. Extra patrol was requested.

Pablo Mariscal, 26 of Kearny, was arrested on two warrants out of Florence. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center.

Jan. 10

Suspicious activity was investigated in the area of the water towers. A male subject was sleeping in a parked vehicle. He was advised that he was on private property and was advised to leave.

Agency assist with fire call behind the Town yard.

A verbal warning was issued for equipment violation.

Other calls included 10 ambulance runs and three information reports.
