According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

June 30

Extra patrol was requested on the 200 block of Victoria Circle.

A disturbance was reported on the 300 block of Hartford.

July 1

Two abandoned vehicles were reported on Industrial Rd. Both were towed.

Extra patrol was requested on the 200 block of Essex.

July 2

Extra patrol was requested on the 400 block of Fairhaven.

A verbal warning was issued for a license plate light violation.

A verbal warning was issued for a head lamp violation.

July 3

Citizen assist with a juvenile unable to get back across the river.

A fight was reported on the 400 block of Essex.

July 4

Extra patrol was requested on the 300 block of Hartford.

Kevin Chiquete, 40 of Kearny, was cited for driving with an improper license plate, no proof of insurance and no current registration. He was released and the vehicle was towed.

Agency assist with an accident on Hwy 177.

Citizen assist with a medical problem.

A verbal warning was issued for failure to obey a traffic control device.

A verbal warning was issued for driving with a suspended license and improper display of plates.

A citation was issued for no current registration and improper license plate light.

A citation was issued for speed.

July 5

A verbal warning was issued for a license plate light violation.

July 6

A welfare check was conducted on the 300 block of Danbury.

Suspicious activity was reported on Airport Rd.

A noise disturbance was reported on the 200 block of Hartford.

July 7

A ring was found behind the shopping center and turned into the police department.

Extra patrol was requested on the 300 block of Essex.

July 9

A verbal warning was issued for a license plate light violation.

A verbal warning was issued for a head lamp violation.

A citation was issued for driving with no proof of registration, no proof of insurance and a tail light violation.

July 10

A written warning was issued for a license plate light violation.

July 12

A domestic disturbance was reported on the 100 block of Jamestown.

Suspicious activity was reported on Hwy 177 near the high school.

A verbal warning was issued for a license plate light violation.

July 13

Possible sexual conduct with a minor was reported on the 100 block of Jamestown.

July 16

Agency assist to the Pinal County Sheriffs Department with an arrest.

A verbal warning was issued for a license plate light violation.

July 18

A dog at large was reported on the 400 block of Ivanhoe.

Theft of a license plate was reported on the 300 block of Alden Rd.

July 22

A civil standby was requested at Town Hall.

A verbal warning was issued for a tail light violation.

July 26

Suspicious activity was reported in the Kearny area.

During the period of June 29 and July 26 there were 31 ambulance runs, five information reports, three 911 open lines and one alarm drop.
