According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

Feb. 23

A men’s ring was found and turned into the police department.

Feb. 26

A written warning was issued for a stop sign violation.

Two neighborhood disputes were reported on the 400 block of Greenwich.

Feb. 27

A welfare check was requested at the Doniphan Apts.

Feb. 28

A noise disturbance was reported on the 400 block of Essex.

Suspicious activity was reported on the 400 block of Ivanhoe.

A verbal warning was issued for falling asleep at the wheel.

Suspicious activity was reported on the 400 block of Jamestown.

Agency assist to the Pinal County Sheriffs Office with the warrant arrest of Ronald Lee Simpson, 47 of Superior. He was released on his own recognizance with a promise to appear.

Mar. 3

Cindy Ann Horton, 39 of Kearny was arrested on a warrant.

Abraham M. Arbizo, 43 of Hayden, was arrested for unlawful imprisonment.

Extra patrol was requested on the 400 block of Jamestown.

A welfare check was requested on Dix Dr.

Mar. 6

A verbal warning was issued for speed.

An abandoned vehicle was reported on the corner of Beauford and Tilbury.

Extra patrol was requested on the 400 block of Jamestown.

A case of identity theft was investigated on the 200 block of Hartford.

A verbal warning was issued for a stop sign violation.

During the period of Feb. 23 to Mar. 8 there were 13 ambulance runs, three information reports, one 911 hang up and two alarm drops.
