Kearny Police Report 11-14

According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

Nov. 3

After an altercation occurring inside the Kearny Police Department, Preston Ray Mariscal, 21 of Kearny, was arrested for disorderly conduct/serious disruptive behavior. He was transported to Florence and booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center.

A 911 open line was reported on the 300 block of Hartford.

Agency assist to Pinal County Sheriff’s Office with a minor accident at Buzzy’s Drive In.

Loud music was reported on the 400 block of Ivanhoe. Occupant agreed to turn the music down.

Nov. 4

A vacation house check was requested on the 1200 block of Tilbury.

After a report of fireworks being heard in the Hubbard Park area, John Michael R. Wallace, 18 of Kearny, was arrested for setting off fireworks within city limits, making false statements to a police officer and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. In the same incident, four juveniles were arrested for making false statements to a police officer. Criminal damage at the Kearny was reported the next day after exploded firecrackers were discovered inside the book drop box damaging books. The incidents are believed to be related.

A verbal warning was issued for a city park curfew violation.

Nov. 5

Criminal damage was reported to the Masonic Lodge located on the 300 block of Fairhaven. The building has been tagged with the words “Remember Nov. 5th (V) the V was circled.

A neighborhood problem was reported on the 300 block of Croyden.

Other calls included five ambulance runs.
