Kearny Police Report

According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

Apr. 21

Suspicious activity was reported on the 400 block of Danbury.

Citizen assist with a civil standby.

A wallet was found and turned into the police department. It was later claimed by owner.

Apr. 22

Extra patrol was requested on the 300 block of Danbury.

Citizen assist with an emergency call.

Citizen assist with a welfare check.

Apr. 23

Harassment was reported on the 300 block of Essex.

A non-injury accident was reported in front of the post office.

A citation was issued for unsafe backing up.

Assault/domestic violence was reported on the 100 block of Hartford.

Apr. 24

Agency assist to Globe Police Department with a report of possible fraud.

Citizen assist to a motorist with a stranded vehicle.

A verbal warning was issued for exhibition of speed.

Apr. 25

Citizen assist with a fingerprinting request.

Citizen assist with a report of a snake inside a residence.

Apr. 27

A verbal warning was issued for reckless driving.

A wallet was found and turned into the police department.

During the period of Apr. 21 to Apr. 27 there were ten ambulance runs and five information reports.
