According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates.

Citizen assist with a fingerprinting request.

Apr. 15

Agency assist to CPS with a report of possible child abuse.

Apr. 16

Citizen assist with keys locked in a vehicle.

Apr. 17

Citizen assist with a fingerprinting request.

Citizen assist with a report of threatening phone calls.

Melanie Josephine Stacy, 37 of Kearny, was arrested for theft.

Apr. 18

A verbal warning was issued for illegal passing and no proof of insurance.

Apr. 19

Smoke was reported coming from the 300 block of Essex. Turned out to be a BBQ grill.

A verbal warning was issued for speed.

Shots were reported on Hwy 177. Turned over to DPS.

During the period of Apr. 14 to Apr. 20 there were 14 ambulance runs and nine information reports.
