Victoria Juarez will represent Superior at HOBY

Victoria Juarez is a sophomore at Superior High School.  She was selected by the school administration to attend the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership program at Grand Canyon University this summer.  She is the daughter of Angelo and April Juarez.

The program is designed to help sophomores to grow their leadership skills and encourage them to utilize those skills in their school and community.  Juarez is an active student at the school. She plays volleyball, basketball and softball.  She is the treasurer for DECA and is the sophomore class secretary.  She is most looking forward to attending the program to learn new leadership skills and meet other kids who are involved with their schools as well.

Victoria plans on going to college at Northern Arizona University after high school and she would like to study to become a Criminal Psychologist.

The Superior Optimist Club sponsors the registration fees for a Superior High School Sophomore to attend the leadership conference in Arizona each year.  Each state in the country hosts a statewide conference for sophomores in their state. Optimist International also provides volunteer and financial support to the Hugh O’Brian Leadership Foundation throughout the country.
