Jr. Miners’ Madrid places 5th at AZJHS State Championships

  San Manuel Jr. High School wrestler Tobias Madrid (118) took fifth place in his weight class at the 2017 Arizona Junior High School State Wrestling Championships, which took place last weekend at Marana High School in Tucson.

  Madrid pinned Daniel Conchaz of Desert Foothills to win the fifth-place match.

  Madrid entered state championships after winning the Central Junior High League Tournament Championship in his weight class (118) just a few weeks ago.
