The Jr. Bearcats were outplayed in almost every facet of the game last week in a 42 – 0 loss at Mountain Vista in Oracle.
“We did not hit, we did not block, and we did not execute any of our plays well at all,” Jr. Bearcats’ head coach Frank Lechuga told the Copper Basin News. “(Mountain Vista) played a very aggressive style of defense that we just weren’t ready for.”
Lechuga said the team immediately returned to the practice field last Thursday and focused on practicing the fundamentals of football – blocking and tackling. He expects his players to show up with a “new attitude” for Tuesday’s game against San Carlos.
