John “Mad Dog” Diaz, 53, died on Dec. 23, 2014 in San Tan Valley, Ariz. He was born to Lawrence and Della (Molina) Diaz on Feb. 1, 1961 in Prescott, Ariz. John lived in Superior for 53 years. He worked as a miner and as a pipe layer and enjoyed being self-employed and known as an entrepreneur. His hobbies included painting, working on cars, billiards, playing music, and smoking.
John was loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Anna Maria Diaz; children, Rosa Maria (Hans) Diaz, Juan (Teressa) Diaz and Delia (Nico) Diaz; siblings, Tina Rodriguez, Nancy Diaz, Delores Diaz, Pricilla (Tom) Unsworth and six grandchildren.
Services were held on Friday, Jan. 2, 2014 at the St. Frances of Assisi Catholic Church in Superior, Ariz. Visitation was at 9:30 a.m., Rosary at 10 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with the reception at St. Mary’s that followed the Mass.
