Joe “Ranchero” Y. Gonzales, 84 of Kearny, Arizona passed away on Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 in Mesa, Arizona.
Joe was born to Frank and Isabel Gonzales in Sonora, Arizona where he spent his life and Kearny since he moved there. A devout catholic attending mass at Infant Jesus of Prague of Kearny. Loved to dance and was a passionate member of the Steel Workers Union #915. He served as a financial Secretary for the SOARS President. (Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees). He played baseball for the Ray-Sonora Tigers. He was recognized at the Arizona Hispanic Hall of Fame.

Joe was deeply loved and will surely be missed by his loving wife: Josie H. Gonzales, Children Joe (Cathy) H. Gonzales of Phoenix, AZ. Jo Ann Gonzales of Mesa, AZ. Isabel (Eric) Contreras of Phoenix, AZ. Mercy (Gary) Burnstad of Dallas TX. Richard Gonzales of Phoenix, AZ, Gilbert (Donna) Gonzales of Phoenix, AZ. Bonnie (Tim Lusk) Mariscal of Kearny.
Mr. Gonzales was previously deceased by his parents Frank and Isabel Gonzales, and daughter Barbara Smith.
Services for Mr. Gonzales will be held on Thursday, Nov. 7, beginning with visitation at 9 a.m. at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Kearny. A rosary will follow at 9:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden.
