Jessie Guzman Vasquez
Jessie Guzman Vasquez was born Christmas day, 1933 in Superior Arizona. To all that loved her, she was affectionately known as Chemie. She passed away Nov. 4, 2016.
Manuel Guzman and Julia Valencia Guzman were parents to Jessie and her three siblings, Manuel, Mary and Dora. Manuel and Mary will be welcoming their sister in heaven.
She spent her childhood and teenage years in Superior and graduated from Superior High School.
She met her husband, Louis Vasquez after his return from Korea. They were soon married and began a family right away. She joins her husband in eternity who passed in 1979.
She is survived by her four children, Louis Vasquez Jr., Julia Vasquez Madrid, Rebecca Vasquez Rowe and Anita Vasquez.
With her children, Chemie had the opportunity to travel to many locations abroad. Traveling was one of her favorite things of course except for spending time with her 9 grandchildren. She was also blessed with 19 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery and a reception was held at St. Mary’s Center in Superior.
