75, met her son at heaven’s gates on July 1, 2014, in Miami, AZ.

She was a longtime resident of San Manuel where she raised her six children.

Isabel was born on July 8, 1938 in Bisbee, Arizona to Conrad and Elodia Chavez. She was the oldest of four kids. She had two two sisters Olivia Rich of San Manuel and Delia Chavarria of San Manuel, and one brother Conrad Chavez (Sharon) of Phoenix. 

Isabel has accomplished so much in her life she graduated from Bisbee High School then she attended college at LAJC and later in life taught Spanish at an elementary school in Utah. She was always telling her grandchildren stories about how she went to high school with Smokey Robinson.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Conrad and Elodia Chavez; her son, Edward Starks; her daughter-in-law, Annie Starks; and her sisters, Olivia Rich and Delia Chavarria. 

Isabel is survived by her husband of 50 years, Phillip Starks. She had she had six children Effren Starks of San Manuel, Eric Andrade of Utah, Elodia “Lolli” (Albert) Deherrera of Globe, Elvia (Jose) Moreno of Oracle, late Edward Starks of San Manuel, and Elisa (Anthony) Burrola of San Manuel. Isabel had 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. 

Services will be held at Saint Bartholomew Catholic Church in San Manuel, AZ on July 26 at 11 a.m. A potluck reception will follow in church hall.
