  Irene Norby, 67, passed away on July 18, 2016 at home in Tucson. She was a third generation Tucsonan, born Dec. 31, 1948 to John and Beatrice Chance. She moved to San Manuel with her family when she was eight years old and graduated from San Manuel High School. She raised her family in Oracle with her husband, Jim.

  Irene is survived by her husband of 44 years, James Norby; daughters, Carolyn Watts, Kathy Norby and Tammy (Steve) Magallanes; eight grandchildren, Angel James Flores, Kevin Flores, Colby Wilson, Damon Whitten, Rachel Runnalls, Chip Runnalls, Steven Magallanes and Brenda Magallanes; and her sisters, Lorianne (Jim) Wharrie and Gerry (Harold) Rollins.

  Family was Irene’s passion. She loved being a homemaker and helping others with her CNA work. She was always volunteering her time to her family, friends or her church. Her favorite hobbies were hiking the Grand Canyon, making crafts and chasing her grandkids.

  Services will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 8845 N. Silverbell Rd. in Tucson on Saturday, July 30, at 11 a.m.
