Irene M. Ruiz

Irene M. Ruiz, 93, of Superior, Arizona passed away April 24, 2017.

  She is survived by her sister Lala Peralta of Superior, Arizona; her son-in-law, Jesse “Chuy” Armenta Sr. of Mesa, Arizona; her grandchildren, Lisa (Mario) Ortega, Mary (Hector “Gogie”) Peralta, Jesse (Renae) Armenta Jr., Jacob (Michelle) Armenta, and Joseph Ruiz; her great-grandchildren Mario (Mary Jane) Ortega, Marcus Clark, Irene Ortega, Amanda Peralta, Breona Peralta, Kenyon Armenta, Marcus Armenta, Kendra Armenta, Jessica Armenta, Jasmine Armenta, Christina Armenta, Adam Armenta, Jesse Armenta III, Jacob Armenta, and Noah Armenta; and her great-great- granddaughters, Aliana Ortega, Josefina Ortega, and Ernestina Ortega.

  Irene was a member of St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church and VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

  Arrangements are entrusted to Superior Funeral Home, 379 South Ray Road, Superior, Arizona 85173. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church.  Rosary service will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the church, and funeral mass will following beginning at 11 a.m.  Interment will be held at 1:15 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Mesa, Arizona.

  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice at Home of Arizona, Gemini Hospice, or St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church.
