San Manuel Library

The results of the recently held election for three spaces on the San Manuel Library Board of Trustees resulted in the retention of all three incumbents: Linda Lee, Louise Krouse, and Chaille McGrew.  The Board appreciates all those cardholders that voted. The Board voted for the current officers to remain in place with Chairman Linda Lee, Vice Chairman Verne Fischer, Secretary Louise Krouse, Treasurer Pat Collins, Member at Large Chaille McGrew.

A great big “Thanks” to all the community members who so generously donated to our donation drive.  Your generosity resulted in a total of $1,682!  Of course, the library’s needs are always there and your support throughout the year is also important.  A donation to the library is a wonderful way to honor the death of a loved one or the celebration of a special event.  When such a donation is made, the library will send a card to the family of the deceased or the person whose life had a celebration to notify them of the donation made in their honor.

The Board has selected Louise Krouse as VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR.  Louise serves as secretary on the board and is a volunteer at the library. She graciously gives of her time and talents to the library and is willing to go the extra mile whenever there is a need.  The Board would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Louise for her outstanding service to the library.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: As of Monday, February 1, 2016 there will be a change in the library’s policy concerning the 5 free b/w copies per day for students’ homework assignments.  This policy is now limited to high school and elementary school students. High school students must show their school ID card in order to have the free copies printed.
