Hyrum Formo taken in Major League draft

Former Hayden High School athlete, Hyrum Formo was drafted in the 27th round of the Major League draft. Formo was selected as a right handed pitcher by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

Formo was the starting pitcher for the Pima Community College Aztecs this year finishing with a win loss record of 5 – 3.

Hyrum Formo is a 2010 graduate of Hayden High School and is the son of Robert and Julie Formo.

Hyrum signed his letter of intent on Monday, June 10. He leaves Wednesday, June 12, for Fort Myers, Florida to play for two months and then will return home to Aravaipa until Spring Training gets underway.
