, 88, of Kearny, Arizona, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 in Globe, Arizona.
Hortensia was born April 6, 1926 in Hayden, Arizona, to her father, Julio Cabrera, and mother, Amalia Apodaca Cabrera. Hortensia moved early in her life to California. She worked as a seamstress, met and married her husband, Henry M. Gonzalez, and reared three children. Hortensia moved to New Mexico for a few years and eventually returned to Kearny until her passing.
Hortensia was survived by her son, Henry Gonzalez; daughter, Yvette Sanchez; brother, Rudy Santos; sisters, Evelina Santos, Velia Montano and Flora Pino; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Hortensia was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, and her son, David Gonzalez.
Services for Mrs. Gonzalez were held Saturday, June 21, at the Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church. Interment followed at Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden.
