Holiday patriotism show set for Dec. 14 in SaddleBrooke

SaddleBrooke’s Canada Del Oro Barbershop Chorus (CDOBC) along with their guests, the Tucson Desert Harmony Chorus of Sweet Adelines will again be performing a concert of many of America’s favorite songs at the Desert View Performing Arts Center (DVPAC).

The program includes a salute to America’s patriots to with songs by Irving Berlin and Frank Loesser from Berlin’s 1943 hit “This is the Army”along with the joyous songs of the holidays.

The almost 100 combined voices will be singing some new eight-part arrangements by CDOBC Director Nancy Bergman. Also featured in this year’s show is the new barbershop quartet Vocal Edition. One month after being formed in March 2011, the dynamic group won the Arizona Division Quartet Championship of the Barbershop Harmony Society.

Tickets are $20 inclusive, $23 at the door and may be purchased at the SaddleBrooke HOA2 Admin Bldg – 825-2818, or online at DVPAC.net.
