Hayden Police Report

According to state law, there are two methods by which police may arrest suspected offenders. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damages are estimates. Items for this report are submitted by the Hayden Police Department and reflect information available at the time of the report.

Dec. 3

Andrea Lynn Newsome, 36 of Hayden, and Abraham M. Arbizo, 42 of Hayden, were both arrested for assault/domestic violence and disorderly conduct/domestic violence. They were transported to Globe and booked into the Gila County Jail.

Dec. 5

A burglary was reported on the 700 block of San Pedro. Missing was a rifle with scope in a gun scabbard.

Dec. 7

Agency assist with a single vehicle rollover accident on Hwy 77 with two occupants. Both north and south bound lanes of traffic were shut down because of leaking gas from the vehicle and debris on the roadway. 

Dec. 8

A burglary was reported on the 600 block in Hayden. A male suspect was detained and the investigation if pending.

An bicycle-vehicle collision was reported on 5th St. in Hayden. Juvenile victim was airlifted.

Dec. 9

Two truckloads of anodes were reported stolen from Asarco. 

A structure fire was reported on the 600 block of Hayden. 

Dec. 11

Victor Quintana, 26 of Hayden, was arrested in reference to a burglary. He was transported to Globe and booked into Gila County Jail.

 Dec. 13

Robert A. Bufanda, 41 of Winkelman, and Jesus M. Munoz, 42 of Hayden, were both arrested for transportation of narcotic drugs for sale, possession of narcotic drugs, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, transportation of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and misconduct involving a weapon during a drug offense. Bufanda was also cited for open container. Both suspects were transported to Globe and booked into Gila County Jail.

Dec. 19

Jimmy John Bently, 33 of Hayden, was arrested on two outstanding warrants out of H/W court. He was transported to Globe and booked into Gila County Jail.

Dec. 22

Kelly M. Young, 47 of Kearny, and Richard G. Perez, 67 of Kearny, were both arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were transported to Globe and booked into Gila County Jail.

Dec. 25

Agency assist with a medical problem on Quarelli St. in Winkelman.

Dec. 30

After responding to a report of domestic violence/custodial interference and criminal damage, suspect Ray Medesto Carmelo, 22 of Hayden, was arrested on a warrant out of Kearny for driving on a restricted drivers license. He was transported to Globe and booked into Gila County Jail.

Roy Contreras, 33 out Hayden, was arrested for domestic violence/disorderly conduct. He was transported to Globe and booked into Gila County Jail. 

Jan. 1

Domestic violence was reported on Randall in Winkelman. Suspect had fled the scene before officer’s arrival.
