The annual Halloween parade and trunk or treat event will be held on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016.  Parade line up is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the corner of Main St. and Magma Ave.  The parade will end near the VFW where there will be a costume contest, trunk or treating and other activities for the family.

There will be prizes for first, second and third place in each age group as well as for pets and adults.  Prizes will be awarded at the event.

There will also be a Trunk Decorating Contest with games hosted at all the best trunks.

And for all those sculptors out there, come try your hand at the pumpkin carving contest. Prizes will be awarded for the the best ones. All pumpkins will be placed along the new wall at Besich Park for all to see.

Businesses and families are encouraged to participate in trunk or treat by decorating their vehicle trunks and handing out candy to the costumed participants.

The VFW will be hosting Kids Karaoke following the parade along with other activities including root beer floats.

Event organizers want to remind everyone that the actual holiday of Halloween is Monday, Oct. 31, 2016, normal trick or treating activities will continue for those residents who wish to give treats from their homes.
