Grover ‘G.C.’ Fairchild Jr.

Grover (G.C.) Fairchild, Jr., of San Manuel, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014.

G.C. was born in Winnsboro, Louisiana, on May 1, 1928, to Grover and Mahamalea (Nielsen) Fairchild. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Laura (King); children, Bill (Gigi) Fairchild, Pat (Tony) Collins, and Mickey King; grandchildren, Alaina (Mike) Tellson, Tenny Kerber, Richard (Shauna) Sokolis, Laura Fairchild, Sara (Raymond) Russell, Darla King, Kayla King, and Stephanie Fairchild; great-grandchildren, Adrian Rodriguez, Cameron Cyr, Destenny Fairchild, Nick and Emily Sokolis; and two brothers and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.

Memorial services will be held at San Manuel First Baptist at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014. Family will be at a reception at the church following the service.
