The fifth annual Women’s Expo held at the Hayden High School was a fun filled day with good food, fun, learning, laughing, shopping and prizes! The vendors were happy to talk with everyone about their booths. The concession stands had good food to keep everyone fed and the money will benefit the Hayden PTO. Throughout the course of the day many people cycled through the Women’s Expo, the parking lot seemed constantly filled. There were prizes drawn every hour that consisted of many different items from vendors and sponsors. The grand prize was a one night stay at Apache Gold Casino and two rounds of golf.
Thank you to the event sponsor’s: Apache Gold Casino, ASARCO, Copper Basin Chamber of Commerce, Ray Federal Credit Union, Gordon’s Market IGA Food Store, Town of Winkelman and Hayden School District. It would be difficult to have such events without the benefits of these sponsors.
Among the speakers Iona Dease spoke about PTSD what it is, what treatments are available for it and other helpful information. Hayden Police Chief Louie Tartaglia spoke to the attendees about self defense and awareness. Martina Burnam spoke about Mediocre Meditation and how it is important for us to take time to relax in our lives. Cobre Valley Hospital was available to perform blood pressure checks and answer questions.
The vendors that helped make this event successful included Pampered Chef, Central Arizona College, Copper Community Action Board, Melaleauca, AVON, Native Air, She’s Country Boutique, Scentsy, Georgianna Woods local author, Mary Kay, Girl Scouts; there was not a shortage of things to experience.
The day was pleasant as was the vendors and speakers. There was also a fashion show by the Pioneer Day Queen Contestant’s. All the young girls did a fantastic job at entertaining a large audience with the fashion show. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the Copper Basin fifth annual Women’s Expo!
