Golden Goose gives back

The Golden Goose Thrift Shop is now accepting and picking up clothing donations and we would like to share with you what happens to those donations and the many ways in which the clothing donations to the Golden Goose help those in need in our local communities.

The Golden Goose Thrift Shop divides 100% of its profits solely between Catalina Community Services and SaddleBrooke Community Outreach. We have disbursed five million dollars over the past ten years to these two organizations.

Clothing is the Golden Goose’s second biggest seller with furniture coming in at number one. The revenue generated by our clothing sales is a big part of the overall money that is given to Catalina Community Services and SaddleBrooke Community Outreach. Clothing that does not meet certain criteria for sale in the shop is taken to Catalina Community Services on a daily basis. Catalina Community Services receives, on average, two thirds of all clothing donations taken in by the Golden Goose. With these clothing donations Catalina Community Services is able to provide clothing for their clothing bank. The clothing that is not suitable for the clothing bank is sold by Catalina Community Services to Big brothers Big Sisters for four cents a pound. The clothing donations made to the Golden Goose translate in to a win – win – win scenario for Catalina Community Services, SaddleBrooke Community outreach and the customers of the Golden Goose Thrift Shop!

1. Golden Goose customers receive incredible discounts on high quality, gently used clothing generating impressive revenue which is then gifted to Catalina Community Services and SaddleBrooke Community Outreach to fund their local charitable programs.

2. Catalina Community Services is able to provide clothing to their clothing bank clients.

3. Catalina Community services is able to generate additional revenue through the sale of clothing to Big Brothers Big Sisters.

We would like to thank all of our generous donors and ask that you continue your support of and donations to the Golden Goose Thrift Shop! Together we are making good things happen every day!

Thanks,

/s/ Steph
