GLOW, the premier illuminated art show in Arizona, opened Saturday night at the historic Triangle L Ranch. Even though there was concern over the weather, a good crowd showed up to enjoy the art, food, entertainment and fun atmosphere that GLOW is famous for.

The opening night of GLOW featured “Gotta Glow! Gala and Costume Ball”.

This year’s entertainment and exhibits include Drumension performance on Lantern Lane; Telescope Viewing by Oracle Dark Skies Committee in the Celestial Theater; Live Music by the Wicked Path in the Shrine Garden; Circus Amperean on the Performance Stage; UVAV Light Show on the Realm of Rock; and Michael P. and the Gully Washers performing live for your listening and dancing pleasure at the Barnyard Stage. There will also be added surprises in store.

Food is being provided for purchase by the Patio Café and the Pie Lady of Oracle. The Patio Café’s food selections included macaroni & cheese, vegetable stew and other hot food, homemade cherry lemonade and tiramisu. The Pie Lady had a large selection of pies including cherry, apple, pecan, peach, sour cream peach and two gluten free selections of pumpkin and carrot pie. Power for GLOW was provided by the Solar Store.

Next Saturday, Sept. 13, “The Day into Night GLOW” will be featured. It will begin two hours earlier from 5 to 9 p.m. It is a family night and will have workshops and interactive projects for the kids. There will be a children’s costume contest. Non-profit arts, nature, education and community organizations will have information booths. Entertainment, music, and performances will be provided for kids and adults. Food and drink will also be available for sale. Tickets are only $10 for adults and $5 for children 13 and under. It is advance ticket sales only.

There will be two other chances to experience GLOW. The first two Saturdays of October, Oct. 4 and 11, from 7 to 11 p.m. Advance tickets sales only are available, $15 for adults, $7.50 for kids and children under 3 admitted free. You can get your tickets at Yikes Toys on Broadway in Tucson or at www.trianglelranch.com/glow.html. Call (520) 623-6732 or info@trianglelranch.com for more information.
