The 2012 Fall Festival will be spread over three fun-filled days, Oct. 26, 27 and the 31, and each day will be jam packed with all the traditional down-home autumnal fun you’ve come to expect from this annual event, plus a few new things for added spice.

On Fri. Oct. 26, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., celebrate Family Fun Night with a downtown block partythat includes carnival games and booths for all ages, boasting hand-crafted jewelry, art, crafts and many fine things which could be great gifts for under the tree, later.

A food court filed with kettle corn and other edible treats to fill the tummy, hay rides straight out of history, a raffle and a carnival toy store will also be part of the fun, which will continue throughout all the days of the event.

The seventh annual B.Y.O.P., free pumpkin carving event and contest will also be taking place on Fri. as well, beginning at 5:00 p.m., with judging taking place around 7:30 p.m.

What could be more inviting than a home-town pumpkin carving, combining the artistry of design and the fun of competition. Bring your pumpkin with you, whether you choose to carve at home or make use of the provided tables and tools.

Judging categories will be for children ages 1-5,6-11, and 12-17 years of age with adult categories for Boo-tiful, Scariest and Most Unique. Warning, there will also be a “ringer’s” category in the contest.

The Chili, Cornbread and All Things Pumpkin Contest will also be part of the Fri. festivities.Bring along your best fall treats. Entries will be judged by people’s choice. There is no fee to enter.

Full-Circle Photoworks will be there for the seventh annual ‘Pictures on the Porch’, for those who want to bring home a special keepsake.
