Gabriel Avenetti

Gabriel Avenetti, 76, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 4:45 a.m. surrounded by his family.  Gabe was born on Jan. 10, 1940 to Gabriel and Antonia Avenetti in Sonora, Arizona.

Gabe enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, hunting and camping, Gabe was a jack of all trades, mechanic by trade, when someone called with a problem with their vehicle he would fix it for them. Gabriel was a man who enjoyed life, being with his family was the best thing.  He would always help people and never asking for anything in return.  He would always tell us, “Be the best that you can be, and do not be afraid to go out in this world.”

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Antonia Avenetti, siblings Richard, Albert and Christy, and granddaughter Alina.

Gabriel leaves behind his wife of 22 years, Lorna; son, Jesus Manuel Avenetti; daughter, Maria Antonia Avenetti; Gabriel’s children from his first marriage, Gabriel (Mary), Daniel (Sherry), B.J. (Mike), and Robert (Christine); and nine grandchildren; his sisters, Molly (Louie) Fontes and Dolly Avenetti; and brothers, Trevor (Jeanne), Phil (Thelma) and Vic (Diane).

Services for Mr. Avenetti are pending.
