Former Ray High School student receives MVP award

Deliano Contreras

Deliano Contreras, a former Ray High School student and current student at Poston Butte High School in San Tan Valley, received a Most Valuable Defensive Player award for Poston Butte High School Division II basketball team, his second Most Valuable Defensive Player award of this school year. He also received one in Poston Butte Varsity Football.

Poston Butte’s varsity basketball team is in Division II and their season ended with 23 wins and 6 losses.

He is the son of Arlette and Manuel Camarena. His sister is Ymari, and he is the grandson of Barbara and Arnold Contreras.
