Pinal County Flood Control, in cooperation with the Superior Police Department, will begin conducting a survey of Superior to identify water flow patterns in town. The process will require both aerial and ground surveys of the existing washes and drainage areas. The surveyor will be placing large markers at specific locations in and around town. These markers are used in the aerial survey to pinpoint specific locations so that the maps produced can be verified for scale and accuracy. This Flood Survey is the first step in a long term project to improve drainage in Superior and to minimize flooding.
If you see any of these markers, please leave them in place, they will be picked up when they are no longer needed for the survey. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Superior Police Department during our normal business hours (Monday – Friday / 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.) at (520) 689-5255.
