The No. 7-ranked Ray girls’ basketball team honored five seniors in winning fashion last Tuesday by defeating Gilbert Classical Academy on Senior Night, 61 – 28.
Addy Romero, Stormee Galka, Savannah Willis, Alyssa Sotelo, and Nepeese Avechuco were the Lady Bearcats’ seniors honored before the start of the home finale.
The Lady Cats, who are one of four Section IV teams ranked in the top-11, will begin postseason play on Tuesday, Feb. 9 in the Division V Section IV Tournament, which will take place at Thatcher High School.
The No. 4-seed Lady Cats will take on No. 5-seed Mogollon in the quarterfinals.
