Family First Pregnancy Care Center: Give Thanks

San Manuel JV/Varsity Football team collected 848 diapers for the Family Diaper Bank as a community service project. Thank you so much for your support!!!

Here in the Arizona desert seasons change quickly; seems we go from summer, fall, to winter all in one week! The only way we know summer is over is by the Christmas decorations showing up in stores by early September. The holiday season starts earlier and earlier each year, what can we do? As we enter the holiday season I am reminded of Pslams 100:4, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving”! We can start by giving thanks to God for all he has done!

Here at family First we have lots to be thankful for. It has been a busy year with moms and dads, children and grandparents all coming in with a variety of needs!

Classes were given, with parents learning some new life skills, along with a little encouragement! We have seen God take a situation that appeared to be a major crisis, only to be turned into a blessing; a new child!

We hear a lot about teens today, how they don’t care, don’t have any purpose? This past year through our “Ten for Teens” program we have seen local teens engage in reaching out here in our community – teens coming into the center, working with each other and working with young children at our story time. We saw our local high school football team, in the midst of their busy season, collect diapers for our Family Diaper Bank! Who says kids don’t care anymore? We know they do, and we know they just need to be taught, encouraged, and by our example, shown the value of helping others.

We are thankful to be here locally, meeting the needs right here where we live! Diapers, baby clothes, blankets, and formula all came in and went out from the Family First Centers! Where did it all come from? I know it came from God Himself, who always provides for people in need. We are so thankful He has used all of you who have given this past year, from giving the items needed, to money to pay for our expenses! We thank you for all you have done, you have enabled us to reach out farther into our communities! God bless you!

So as we start another holiday season, start it off by giving thanks!

“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift, His Son Jesus”! 2 Cor. 9:15

God Bless,

/s/ Frank & Clare
