Family First: Jelly Beans and Easter Egg Hunts

It’s Easter!

Here in the high desert of Arizona, most of the trees lose their leaves during the winter. It can look as though they have died without their bright green foliage. All winter the trees waited patiently as the seasonal rains watered their roots. They waited for the signal of spring and time for new life! It seems like overnight that the buds formed and then leaves are popping out everywhere, oh the wonder of spring time!

In our yard the rabbits come out, nibbling the vegetation popping up around the yard. Then the birds come out looking for seeds on the ground and start gathering at the watering pan, how do they know its spring?

I believe God Himself created them that way! All of the new life of spring and nature around us never ceases to amaze me.

It is at this time of year we celebrate spring, celebrate Easter, along with winter being over and a rebirth of things around us. There are Eater bunnies of chocolate, marshmallow chicks, jelly beans and Easter egg hunts for the children to celebrate the day.

For myself, it is a time to thank God for the new life, to thank His Son Jesus for new life from Him. It is a reminder for me that God loves and cares that much for me and us all!

Here at Family First we are here to show God’s love to everyone who comes into our doors. We are here to help, to encourage, to teach our moms and dads, to help them be the best parents they can be for their children. We are here to make our community a better place for us all to live in!

Springtime is a wonderful time of year, a time to appreciate that new life around us, a time to refresh and to give thanks for God’s goodness for us all!

  God Bless,

/s/ Frank and Clare Grochocki
