How much do you know about bats? Those tiny creatures made famous and infamous by a good guy and a not-so-good guy?
Saturday night, July 25, at the Kannally Ranch at Oracle State Park, Dr. Joel Diamond, Research Ecologist and Regional manager of Arizona Game and Fish, helped clear up the mystery for a packed house. He gave a lecture and answered questions about Arizona bats and their habitats.
Around 50 people attended the lecture.
Diamond then led a hike out to an area in the park where bats had been captured in nets. Everyone got a close look at the bats before they were released into the night sky.
This was a Friends and Oracle State Park summer event.
