The Arizona Department of Transportation will be improving 17 miles of State Route 79 between Oracle Junction and Florence, between mileposts 111 and 128. Work began on Tues., Sept. 4 and is expected to last approximately two months.
Drivers can expect reduced speed limits and lane restrictions, and the possibility of delays. Pilot cars will be used when the roadway is narrowed to one lane. Be advised to proceed through the work zone with caution, watching out for construction equipment and personnel.
