Emeliano “Emmett” Ordorica Gomez passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015.
He was born June 24, 1925 in Miami, Arizona.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Amelia Flores Gomez; sons, Emmett, Leonard (Alyson), Ronald and Sammy (Anita); grandchildren, Melanie, Aaron (Hiram), Jessica, Elijah, Rhonda, Alicia, Alek, and Christian; and great-grandchildren: Rohan, James, Jennifer, Jeremiah, Rebecca, and Destiny.
He is a veteran of World War II with four (4) Bronze Stars, Purple Heart, EAME Theater Ribbon and numerous campaigns medals/ribbons. He was a member of the United States Army 2nd Infantry Division who fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
Services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015, at the Oracle St. Helen Catholic Church. Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 10 a.m. with the Eulogy beginning soon after. The funeral will start at approximately noon and will be held at the Oracle Cemetery with a reception following at the Oracle Community Center beginning at 1 p.m.
