Elsa Celis Real, 89, passed away May 5, 2020 at Lund Home Hospice of the Valley in Gilbert, Arizona. She was born in Miami, Arizona on Sept. 17, 1930 to parents Ignacio and Josepha (Rivas) Celis.
Elsa married Cosme Real on Aug. 20, 1949 and they lived in Sonora, Arizona. In 1959 they moved and built their home in Superior, Arizona.
Elsa is preceded in death by her husband, Cosme, and son, Robert. She is survived by sons, Danny (Linda), Michael (Laura) and David (Priscilla); her daughter-in-law, Margie; and daughter, Veronica (Richard). She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and Lyanna Elsa, her only great-great-grandchild. Also surviving is her sister, Alice Sandoval; brother, Frank Celis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
We will miss her infectious smiles, squeals and laughter!
Services for Elsa were held Saturday, May 9, 2020 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She was laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery.
