Eduardo Miranda Gonzales (Eddie) born on May 7, 1943 passed away on Friday, June 20, 2014.

He was a patient, proud, strong, loving, hardworking man and was loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. He spent every moment with the love of his life and enjoyed playing his guitar, singing dancing and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved to be out in the hills whether he be hunting or just riding around on his quad.

He was a jack of all trades and taught his children and grandchildren everything from mechanics to household maintenance. He also made sure they knew how to hunt, fish and shoot a rifle. He made them all strong and independent.

Eddie worked most of his life at ASARCO as a Heavy Equipment Operator and was the best at his job for 35 years. He will be dearly missed.

He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Josie; children, Eddie (Sandi), Melissa (David), Vincent (Katy); grandchildren, Anthony, Czar, Jared, Vincent, Dominic, Sophia, Monique, Adrianna, Cassee, David, Brianna, Jack, Ada and Arlo; great-granddaughters, Bree Isabella, Charlie’Rae, and Liliana; sisters, Rachael, Sylvia, Christy (Ramon); brother, Jerry (Patsy); countless nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Lucia; and siblings, Manuel, Rudy, David, Grace, Ruth, Sara and Esther.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Parish in Hayden, AZ. Viewing is from 8:30-9:30 a.m., Rosary at 9:30 a.m., Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. and Interment will be at the Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden.

The family was assisted by Griffith Mortuary.
