Dry Heat: Is Trump a Racist?

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

As the Martin Luther King holiday came and went, President Trump while meeting with Senators to discuss immigration, opens his mouth and inserts both feet. His shameful racist comments demeaning El Salvador, African countries and Haiti were deplorable. Of course, Trump denies making these comments and his loyal followers will believe him. They even believe him when his lies have been caught on video.  His propaganda ministers will offer their spin on the news and people will believe that it was just a lapse in judgement. He is not a racist, he is just racially ignorant as Martin Luther King Jr.’s nephew has said. Isn’t that what racism is, ignorance with some hate thrown in? Toss in Trump’s superiority complex and you have all the ingredients for making a white supremacist.

Yes, I believe Trump is a racist! As for his devoted followers, who knows? Trump’s building of his border wall which will waste billions of tax payer dollars, will be nothing more than a gigantic monument for racism. They might as well paint murals on the wall celebrating the romantic versions of the history of the KKK, the Confederacy and the Nazi movement.

Speaking of racists, Steve Bannon is now impotent thanks to Trump and his billionaire friends. I wonder where the Breitbart news and Bannon fans will now go for their daily fix of xenophobia. It’s a good thing to see Bannon fall. I see he has lawyered up as he prepares to testify in front of the House Intelligence Committee on the Russian investigation. Come on Steve tell the truth, you have to have some inside information.

Then there is Arizona’s own Joe Arpaio, tossing in his white hood, I mean hat into the Senate race for Flake’s vacant seat. Joe just misses the limelight. I hope he wins the Republican primary as I don’t think he can win statewide. He couldn’t even win Maricopa County last time out and that’s where most of his devotees lived. Kelli Ward, another Republican running for the Senate, has distanced herself from Steve Bannon after happily accepting his endorsement months ago. What a hypocrite.
