Dry Heat: Trump Making America Hate Again

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmailby feather

President Trump’s recent deplorable comments about the events in Charlottesville has sent a message to Neo-Nazis, White Supremacists, the KKK and White Nationalists that it’s OK, spread your hate, I got your back. Fascism in America is on the rise. When our President supports fascism and hate, Americans better pay attention. Trump has set a low standard for the presidency. America will no longer be seen as the bastion of freedom that it once was.  The President of the United States is no longer the leader of the free world.

On Aug. 22, Trump brought his traveling angry white bigots hate fest to Phoenix. He   pretty much announced that he would pardon Joe Arpaio, and now has done so. He talked about unifying the country in Reno, then gave his approval to racial profiling and police state tactics. This is an insult to federal judges, Americans of color, Mexicans and to Democracy. What happens to “equal protection under the law” and “no one is above the law”?  Pretty soon Trump will be calling the Constitution “fake” laws.

Bizzaro President has just made a smart move getting rid of Steve Bannon but I don’t think that is enough to make amends for what he has done. The Arpaio pardon may have been to keep the white nationalists thinking he is still on their side. It will be interesting to see if Bannon uses Breitbart news to support Trump or go after him, as I am sure he has some inside information.

I must ask those Republican Trump supporters: do you continue to support Trump and back him supporting those anti-American hate mongering groups? If you do, what does that say about you? If there is nothing going on between Russia and the Trump administration, then why have many of them lawyered up and why does Trump continue to try to intimidate Robert Mueller or find a way to fire him? I am not so much worried about the collusion between Russia and Trump’s campaign as ugly as it may be, as I am about Trump’s business dealings with Russia and collusion with the Russian Mafia and Russian white-collar criminals. If Russia were still a communist nation, Trump would have been long gone by now, but it is fine, now that he is dealing with a wealthy, murdering dictator who wants to re-unite the Soviet Union. It’s a Bizzaro World in our nation’s capital.
