Doyle J. Peace

  Doyle J. Peace passed away Jan. 29, 2017, in Chandler, AZ after a long fought battle with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. 

  He was born to Walter and Edna Peace March 26, 1929 in Eldon, Oklahoma. He was one of nine children. He was the beloved husband to Norma Peace for 67 years. 

  Doyle was a devoted husband, loving father, #1 grandfather, and friend. He was generous, warm and kind to all he met. He will be remembered for his bountiful compassion, humor, and big heart. He was a car collector and enjoyed restoring old cars. He will be cherished by all of us.

  Doyle was employed with Burt and Binford Construction Company in Sublette, Kansas, and McDonald’s Ford Motor Co. and John Jones Ranch as mechanic in Satanta, Kansas prior to being drafted into the in the US Army in 1952. Of his two years in the military (1952-1954), 18 months were spent in Germany. 

  He is survived by his wife Norma, daughter Kathy Noriega (Louis), granddaughter Heather Noriega, and grandson Brandon Noriega. He is also survived by brothers, Charles Everett Peace (Judy) and Benny Peace; and sisters, Zella Mae Skaggs (Bob) and Nita Woodard (Les). He was preceded in death by his infant brother, his parents Walter and Edna Peace, brother Jimmy Peace, and sister Eva Loretta Skaggs Maggard. 

  Services were held on Feb. 3, 2017.
