Hayden Police Department executed a search warrant last week on the 500 block of Velasco in Hayden for canine violations, health and welfare violations and outstanding warrants.
Officers secured the residence and with the assistance of Gila County Animal Control seized 12 unlicensed and unregistered canines. Owner of the residence was arrested on outstanding warrants and Child Protective Services conducted an investigation with children being evaluated at an area hospital.
Owners were advised they were prohibited from returning to the residence with the children as a result of the home’s current condition. Further investigation is under way.
